Monochrome Monday: 57 Chevy Vignettes

The 57 Chevy has always been my favorite classic automobile. As a kid I built several Revell scale models of this iconic car. Last month we parked near this pristine beauty while visiting Ashe County, North Carolina. These compositions focused on detailed vignettes of this Bel Air model’s styling and ornamentation.

  1. Many years ago my cousin was very big into restoring 57 Chevys. He went so far as to source brand new 1957 parts in an old GM warehouse in Kansas City. This is around the year 2000. He was good at it, but on a test drive with me, we found he mis-wired a couple of things. Turn the radio on and the windshield wipers started working.
