  1. Please tell me about the processing! (Maybe there’s simialr processing in a previous post that you discussed? I’ll check). Those colors are unusual, mouth-watering even! I could look at these over and over again. Wonderful!!

    1. Hi Lynn! I have typically gravitated to monochrome photography, except where color makes a significant contribution. Last fall I started experimenting with Aurora HDR on architectural abstract compositions – where the “hyper-extended” color tonality and clarity contribute to the abstraction of the subject. The architectural photos were shot around sunrise or sunset – creating the warm color tonality baseline. I’ve also experimented with HDR in other cityscape compositions, most often introducing too much of a clarity effect – the hyper texture is distracting. Sometimes adding just a hint of HDR helps. Cheers!

      1. Thank you for sharing those details. I’m in the dark ages with HDR, just dismissing it as something used by people who want everything exaggerated. But I understand what you’re saying about how some attributes can contribute to a more abstract look. Obviously, a touch of it can be a good thing! I’ll look into Aurora.
