Another fantastic post – I would not have expected Charlotte to be so busy. Intellectually I know it’s a big city, but it’s hard not to lump it in with other NC places I’ve been to (Raleigh-Durham, Asheville, the coast). The alternating monochrome and color work very well here – and once again I love that color! I like that you often get down low to shoot, and I like the flattened perspective again, especially in the final shot.

Most folk agree the financial industry contributed to the depth and breadth of the city. There is a lot to see and do. I grew up in Charlotte in the 70s & 80s, its very different now. That last image was shot at 300mm – this 28mm – 300mm Nikkor lens is quite versatile!

I lived out near the Blue Ridge Mts. for a little while and heard about the crazy growth in Charlotte but I never got there. I’m glad you’re putting those new buildings and the energy to good use. 🙂
