  1. There are many reasons for the decline in manufacturing in the United States. In this case, furniture manufacturing in North Carolina. It’s easy to place blame on any one constituency, but it’s actually much more complicated. Some benefited, others did not. When all is said and done, I believe all will recognize we collectively contributed, directly or indirectly, to the loss of manufacturing US jobs.
