Three of my works were selected for exhibition this summer. Ghost on the Ridgeline and Weathered Old Cedar where selected for the Associated Artists of Winston Salem (AAWS) Deminsions 2015 Exhibit. Dimensions is a national adjudicated art exhibition established by AAWS in 1964 to showcase outstanding visual art in two and three-dimensional fine art media. This year’s exhibition will be held inside the Womble Carlyle Gallery at the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts in downtown Winston-Salem, NC, the city of arts and Innovation. This year’s Juror was Paul Bright, Director of the Charlotte & Philip Hanes Gallery at Wake Forest University. The exhibit runs June 5th – July 27th.
Barn Lines Abstract was selected for an exhibit at the LithaMoon Gallery in Greensboro, GA. Abandoned: Vanishing Rural America is a photographic exhibit featuring abandoned architecture of small towns and back roads of rural America, the schoolhouses, homesteads and the structures that are, slowly, being reclaimed by the land. Laughter of children. Smoke rising from the chimney on a cold winter morning. Faded wood, walls that are no longer square and paint weathered by wind, rain and time. Some are restored. Most will become one with fields and trees leaving no trace. The exhibit runs July 8th – August 1st.
